Light Years 03:06
1. light years i awake to a gentle murmuring a melody that to me does speak across the light years, the light years of sleep across the light years into the morning… lucky am i to hear this gift this melody that comes so gentle, so swift across the light years, the light years of sleep across the light years into the morning…. lucky am i to lie here and breathe my chest is rising like a wave in the sea and I can wait here, wait so patiently until the day comes to share with you this melody some distant morning

Waterfall 04:11
2. waterfall meet me in the middle half way up the waterfall where the treble is forgotten and the bass is lost in the softening and the echo the echo in your eyes wakes you in the night meets the echo the echo of the voice that cries, leaves me far behind and nothing here is static, even the polestar drifts as you give me circling words, rearrange me with your lips and the water swells and surges down how the water falls to wake the ground the water swells and surges down how the water falls to wake the ground and you say orchestral display, visuals of everything you say listen close to everything i say, you listen close as weather gathers round, around the day and nothing here is static, even the polestar drifts as you give me circling words rearrange me with your lips

Midnight Ice 04:28
3. midnight ice when the midnight ice spread across the pane, and the wintertime flexed its talons great, and when the brightest fire couldn’t shake the chill, you came to me and you stood so still and your eyes did say comfort me, warm me, into the morning when we see our silhouettes there standing side by side- they don’t look right. so i walk on into the snow, feel my own weight, carry my own load but when i get home to my unmade bed, my stale room, there you are still in my head so i wash the sheets, and i wash this body clean, from all these shifting dreams, shifting dreams, shifting dreams…..
4.
4. this is how we swim last night, we both did dream of waters so cold, of waters so clean and in my dream, i was so at ease how i was floating but your dream it was a different sort of dream how your arms were flailing and when you awoke, you were shaking still and the hawk wind was poised to kill as the feathered ice spread across the sill i said if you let me, you know i’ll warm you, yes i will and i’ll show you how it is to swim yes i’ll take you right in…. and then we’ll roll with the waves, follow the sound our breathing makes roll with the waves, follow the sound our breathing makes….. but again and again you do tell me, this is not your time for love you say there’s nothing inside me to give you, so run run run run run but i slip into the lake, longing to shed my heavy weight and i swim out to the sky, with no regard for that rip tide and i roll with the waves, follow the sound our breathing makes roll with the waves, follow the sound our breathing makes and i just don’t know how to hear you when you say this is not your time for love… for in these arms i find such comfort and i’d rather swim than run
5.
Misplaced 02:24
5. misplaced there’s a fish in your eye, and he darts from side to side when I ask him to leave, he just jumps into me and fills the swamp with worry…. and the bird in your face, I know she needs her space but when I step away, I find I lose my place…. no i know not my place, no i know not my place
6.
No Monument 04:23
6. no monument there’s no grave marked with your name no monument that stands the same through all the wind, and all the rain there’s no such solid plane and i don’t go there to sit and be still to be still and think of you in some parlour room, with rows upon rows of photographs far away from the differing light but when i stretch my arms to the day you come to me on the back of a wave and when i smile at some simple truth all through my cheeks spreads the warmth of you and when the birds rise and fall in the sky there you are fluttering in my eyes and when i hear these simple tunes why i sing them right back to you all through the differing light
7.
7. into the waves how can it be the loss of love can come to mean much more than the very love itself, leave us clinging to the shore? you left and left a hallow place that doesn’t seem to change no matter how i walk and run all through the wind and rain and i go on and on and on into the waves on and on into the waves
8.
Fever Dream 03:42
8. fever dream you wait there for me at the bottom of a dream but your eyes are running and i rearrange the letters in your name yes im searching for something when the wind it comes, and the wind it goes now you see her, and now you don’t and you’ll never know where that wind goes when the wind does not blow the late summer leaves shimmer in the heat and burn a fevered dream and im swirling without aim into a vision i can claim when that vision has already claimed me when the wind it comes, and the wind it goes now you feel her, now you don’t and you’ll never know where that wind goes now that the wind does not blow.
9.
9. patient stands patient stands the winter tree as the rivers burn, as the rivers freeze and i walk on into the snow feel my own weight, carry my own load and the snow swirls in the snow covers your eyes so you cant see where you’ll go
10.
10. out on the sea out on the sea weather’s always changing clouds come and go before you can blame them for the fog that wraps round your eyes comes from the cold, cold place in your own mind out on the sea tides are always turning the currents go up and down and all around before you can learn them and you’ll never see the same fish twice and the moon sings a new song each night
